Go on the hunt for “The Real McCoy”! This bright pink vintage shopping gem is nestled in a small courtyard right off High Street in downtown Exeter. I was absolutely delighted when I came across it during a walk in town. It’s big pink vintage sign and logo beckoned me in to explore this two-story maze of retro treats.
Downstairs includes women’s fashions from years ranging from the twenties to eighties, with a focus in big-band era 30s and 40s. I had a blast going from bomber jackets and pencil skirts to full style Donna Reed dresses and petticoats. Heading to the corner of the shop is an extensive vintage men’s wear department where you’ll find the fedoras, tie pins, saddle shoes, and zoot suits you’ve always had your eye on.
You might want to take a break in the retro café bar complete with a jukebox and black and white tiled floors before you head upstairs. They had one of the best burgers I tasted while in the UK.
